About The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Technician to play a vital role in supporting clinical teams through the maintenance and management of life-saving medical equipment. If you are successful in this role you will be eligible for up to $10,000 sign on incentive, and up to $5,000 each year (incentive value dependent on full-time equivalent, position and location - find out more here).

In This Critical Role, You Will
  • Conduct electrical safety and performance testing of biomedical equipment in line with AS/NZS 3551:2012.
  • Perform planned and corrective maintenance, calibration, and commissioning of medical devices, as well as decommissioning and disposal.
  • Provide technical support to clinical users and liaise with departments to coordinate maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain accurate records using the Asset and Facility Management Online (AFMO) system.
  • Participate in contractor management, documentation, and on-call service rosters as required.

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical fields.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a hospital or health sector environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in medical electronics.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and database tools.
  • A current Class C Driver's Licence and willingness to travel across MLHD.
