Job Description

The Senior Technical Officer, Biomedical position is responsible for assisting the Biomedical Services Manager in the supervision, training and support of the Biomedical Technicians. The role involves prioritizing work schedules and creating work plans and guidelines.

The Senior Technical Officer carries out acceptance testing, calibration, performance verification, preventative maintenance, repair, development, education, record keeping and consultation services regarding medical technology employed within the healthcare district.

The Clinical Engineering department operates as a central reference point for all Biomedical Engineering related issues and functions in accordance with best practice, relevant Australian Standards and Industry Guidelines.
