We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Metro South Health (MSH). As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive Workplace Health and Safety consultancy services to all facilities and staff, ensuring compliance with MSH priorities.
Key responsibilities include analysing injury and WorkCover data to establish risk profiles, prioritising audit and inspection processes, and preparing advice and detailed reports to management on health and safety legislation and performance issues.
You will also coordinate the management and evaluation of Metro South Health safety policies and initiatives, strategies, and programs to meet MSH legislated requirements and improve overall organisational health, safety, and well-being.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Develop and implement effective Workplace Health and Safety strategies and initiatives
- Provide expert advice and guidance on health and safety legislation and best practices
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
- Prepare and present reports to management on health and safety performance and trends
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in Workplace Health and Safety
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
