Water Treatment Plant Technician Role

This role involves maintaining and operating water treatment plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the operation of the water treatment plant and report on its status and condition.
  2. Perform laboratory analysis, testing, and sample collection tasks.
  3. Fault-find, troubleshoot, and carry out first-line maintenance on plant equipment and processes.
  4. Maintain housekeeping standards in the plant and administration areas.
  5. Participate in shift work rosters including weekends and holidays.
  6. Undertake company training programs as required.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reporting.
  8. Attend toolbox meetings, production meetings, and other operational meetings.
  9. Ensure functional asset management systems are in place.
  10. Comply with WHS, environmental policies, and business management systems.

Requirements:

  • Holding trade qualifications for Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Fitter, or Electrical trades or equivalent experience working on industrial equipment.
  • General plant operations experience is highly regarded.
  • Willingness to obtain a Certificate 3 in Water Treatment (supported by Veolia).
