Job Title: Maintenance Services Assistant

We are seeking an experienced maintenance services assistant to provide casual support at our facility. This role is responsible for implementing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating a preventative and corrective maintenance program.

  • Maintain up-to-date asset register.
  • Contribute to refurbishment, equipment replacement and capital works planning.
  • Identify preventative maintenance requirements and document schedule.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance and corrective action according to legal requirements and documented schedule.
  • Oversee external contract agreements.
  • Maintain records of maintenance program.
  • Ensure adequate stock items for regular corrective maintenance jobs.
  • Maintain neat, tidy and safe grounds including watering.
  • Ensure high-quality standards in resident rooms and public areas.
  • Ensure vehicles at the facility are kept clean and tidy and serviced according to service maintenance schedule.

This is a casual position requiring employee to work one day per week.

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • General maintenance and gardening skills.
  • A current driver's license.
  • A current National Police Certificate or ability to acquire.
  • Knowledge or experience in establishing and coordinating a maintenance program.
  • Experience in maintenance and horticulture management.
  • An accredited trade certificate relevant to position.
  • Experience in residential aged care or similar business.
