Employee Relations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Lead to join our Human Resources & Internal Recruitment team at Scotford Fennessy. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting daily operations by interpreting multiple industrial agreements, updates, and changes in the industrial relations framework and applying these to our busy service-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply industrial agreements, awards, and legislation to ensure compliance and best practice
- Provide expert advice and guidance on employee relations matters, including complex investigations, drafting agreements, and running BOOTs
- Liaise with the Fair Work Commission, Ombudsman, and Unions to resolve employee relations issues
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and retention
- Collaborate with the leadership team to drive business outcomes and achieve organizational goals
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Employee Relations Lead who possesses:
- Qualifications in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or a relevant discipline
- Experience managing complex employee relations matters, union, and third-party relationships
- Demonstrated ability to quickly research and analyze information to support stakeholder decision-making
- Good leadership experience, and the role would suit someone keen to step up into a leadership position
- Knowledge of employment contract management and employee relations
- The ability to build relationships fast and understand the needs of stakeholders
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to self-motivate to achieve timely outcomes
- Advanced skills across HRIS applications and Microsoft Office suite
- Driver's License
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
