Job Description

This Software Solutions Strategist role involves leading the software team within our Hardware & Software Practice. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing strategies to drive software revenue and growth profit (GP) growth by optimising existing revenue streams and identifying new opportunities and initiatives for expansion.
  • Leading a high-performing team of 9 software sales professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to drive individual and collective success.
  • Conducting thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities, target markets, and competitive landscape for software in Australia.
  • Staying apprised of vendor updates and market trends to proactively manage the company's software offerings.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to align strategies and ensure effective execution of software revenue and GP growth initiatives.
  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities for introducing new software solutions or enhancing existing products to meet customer needs and drive incremental revenue and GP.
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor software revenue and GP performance.
  • Developing sales enablement materials, training programs, and tools to support the sales team in effectively positioning and selling software solutions to clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications

This role requires:

  • Demonstrated success in leading sales teams and achieving revenue and profitability targets in the sale of software solutions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software products, services, and solutions, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience developing and nurturing strategic partnerships and alliances with technology partners to expand market reach and drive revenue and GP growth.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft products, programs, and experience selling Microsoft solutions to Australian-based customers.
  • Existing relationships with Microsoft and other key vendors across security and application software.
