Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated professional with a minimum of five years' experience in a local transport or 3PL organisation. Your strong communication skills (verbal and written) and proficient Microsoft Excel skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including the Business Development team and customers.

Your primary objective will be to gain and retain customers by offering industry-leading solutions across all distribution services. You will work closely with various stakeholders to prepare compelling tenders, conduct thorough customer analysis, and navigate contract complexities with strategic insight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Craft competitive pricing solutions for customer tenders, fostering strong client relationships and securing new business opportunities while nurturing existing partnerships.
  • Create robust cost and financial models to support customer proposals by developing and driving compelling distribution solutions from analysis to implementation.
  • Identify new concepts and technology, building on existing best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Present solutions confidently to customers as part of the tendering process.
  • Develop strong partnerships with key vendors to optimise costing and service lead times.

As a Supply Chain Solutions Strategist, you will also be responsible for leveraging available tools and systems, ensuring a high standard of compliance at all times. Additionally, you will define and propose the best matching solution considering requirements versus operational constraints.
