About the Role

The Head of Campus is a pivotal position at our independent high school, responsible for leading the ongoing journey and shaping the strategy of the school. This role oversees key pillars such as student wellbeing, teaching and learning quality, compliance, and relationships with key stakeholders. Working closely with the Group CEO and the Board, this position plays a crucial role in ensuring students and teachers are cared for, supported, and achieving their goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategy, values, and student journey from first contact through to graduation
  • Manage academic programs, student wellbeing, and disciplinary actions
  • Develop, update, and oversee compliance with key processes and procedures
  • Prepare and present reports to key stakeholders
  • Provide educational leadership to the dedicated staff base
  • Build and develop relationships with key school stakeholders
  • Manage three direct reports - overseeing appraisals, training, etc

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience working within a school setting
  • Exposure to working within a leadership role and overseeing direct reports
  • Ability to engage, relate, and work sensitively with the target cohort of young people
  • Passionate, empathetic, and solutions-focused in nature
  • Recognised qualification in teaching and current teaching accreditation
  • Previous experience working within a Special Assistance School is highly regarded
