About the Role

The Royal Women's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Educator to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a Clinical Educator, you will play a critical role in coordinating education and professional development programs for our nursing and midwifery staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver education programs to support the learning needs of our NICU staff
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of education programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Women's Neonatal Resuscitation competency framework for nurses and midwives
  • Supervise a team of clinical support nurses and a Grade 4 Educator in the NICU
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Educator who has a strong background in neonatal intensive care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • AHPRA registration as a Nurse with recent and extensive skills in care of the neonate in NICU
  • Post graduate certificate/diploma/masters in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU)
  • Previous experience in an education or leadership role in NICU and the ability to develop learners and learning programs
  • Confidence in public speaking and group facilitation with well-developed presentation skills
