Clinical Support Nurse

This is an exciting opportunity to challenge yourself and extend your own knowledge across all areas of the neonatal unit in a teaching and mentoring capacity. As a Clinical Support Nurse (CSN) you will be a supportive and positive role model, providing constructive learning experiences to NICU staff members, new learners and postgraduate students.
A regular day will see you:
- Provide direct clinical support to NICU new learners and work closely with the Clinical Nurse Educators to support, enable and promote family integrated care, support and educate staff to up-skill, support and educate the postgraduate NICU students to complete the clinical requirements of their course and run professional development opportunities for all members of the NICU nursing team.

About YouYou will be someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You'll have excellent problem-solving capability, and take a flexible and adaptable approach to your work.
You'll bring with you:
- Div 1 Nursing and/or Midwife Registration with AHPRA + Post Graduate Neonatal Nursing qualification or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and time manage
- A demonstrated commitment to FiCare and advocacy
- An ability to foster open and supportive relationships with your team, and contribute to positive staff morale and team cohesiveness
- Extensive experience in neonatal intensive and special care nursery
- Demonstrated positive, proactive and passionate support for the learning of others
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality strengths-based feedback including having difficult conversations when required
- Organisationally focussed – big picture thinker
- Experience precepting learners
- Current accreditation as an ABLS, Neonatal Resuscitation facilitator, ideal however is not required to apply
