About the Role

Peter Mac is seeking a Clinical Psychologist Registrar to join our team. As a key member of our mental health team, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that people with cancer and their families have their mental health and psychosocial needs addressed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment to individuals, couples, families, and groups
  • Manage, conduct, and understand risk assessments and triages
  • Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team, providing psychological consultation and advice to other staff
  • Liaise with medical teams across Peter Mac, including attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Provide educational presentations as appropriate
  • Engage in departmental and hospital professional development
  • Commitment to professional development and learning to the registration standard of APHRA
  • High level of written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills

Requirements
  • Full registration (or eligibility for full registration) as a Psychologist by the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA)
  • An APAC approved Post Graduate qualification to Masters or Doctorate level in Clinical Psychology
  • Eligibility to enrol in the Clinical Registrar Program under PsyBA
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment
