Job Opportunity

Canonical's Cloud Support Engineer team is looking for a talented professional to join our ranks. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer support and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve complex customer issues related to Canonical's products, including Ubuntu and open source technologies.
  • Engage directly with customers via phone, ticketing system, and remote sessions to resolve their issues.
  • Participate in a regular weekend working rotation to ensure 24/7 support coverage.
  • Contribute new knowledge base articles and maintain existing ones to share knowledge and lessons learned with customers.

Requirements:

  • Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.
  • Exceptional academic track record from both high school and university.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path.
  • Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results.
  • Hands-on experience in supporting Linux systems, including virtualization/cloud, containers, storage technologies, and networking.
  • Cloud computing expertise in provisioning, monitoring, orchestration, etc.
  • Advanced troubleshooting experience in Linux integration with other environments, stack traces, and logs.
  • Programming fundamentals in any language.
  • Extensive customer support experience with a focus on customer needs and professional communication.
