Senior Legal Advisor

As a strategic legal advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting key business areas across the organization.
Your primary focus will be on providing expert legal advice to drive strategic and operational goals. You will advise on distribution, partnership, and promotional deals for Disney+ streaming service, ensuring compliance with Australian and New Zealand laws and regulations.
- You will supervise key content licence agreements with broadcasters, digital service providers, and local rights acquisition for Content Sales & Distribution.
- Additionally, you will advise on affiliate channel distribution deals for ESPN Channel distribution & rights acquisition, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
- As part of your responsibilities, you will manage direct reports and provide guidance to other lawyers within the organization.
- Furthermore, you will drive the formulation, drafting, and implementation of Disney legal and regulatory policies for ANZ Disney+ and Content Sales business teams.
- You will also advise local Disney business on relevant areas of law and policy relating to operations in Australia and New Zealand.
Ideal candidates will have significant experience as a qualified lawyer with top-tier firm private practice experience and in-house legal department experience focused on intellectual property, commercial, and media entertainment law.
