Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to coordinate branch activities and supervise staff, ensuring optimum utilisation of branch resources and achieving linehaul departure targets.

This exciting opportunity involves working closely with the Outbound Manager to ensure freight is loaded/unloaded so that it can be delivered on time, in full and with no damages. Key responsibilities include optimising resource allocation at all times to reduce costs and achieve performance measures, supervising the loading/unloading of freight, and identifying and initiating employee training where necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Dangerous Goods requirements, Load Restraint requirements, WHS and relevant transportation Acts and Regulations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate branch activities to ensure optimum utilisation of branch resources.
  • Supervise staff to achieve linehaul departure targets.
  • Optimise resource allocation at all times to reduce costs and achieve performance measures.
  • Supervise the loading/unloading of freight.
  • Identify and initiate employee training where necessary.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role within the Transport Industry.
  • Sound knowledge of Dangerous Goods requirements, Load Restraint requirements, WHS and relevant transportation Acts and Regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
