Job Overview

We are seeking a civil asset inspector to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on the condition of bridges, culverts, platforms, and tunnels.

About the Role

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections on civil assets to ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Write detailed reports on inspections, suggest maintenance priorities, and consider environmental and heritage issues.
  • Advise management about civil assets and ensure inspections follow established procedures.
  • Update databases with asset conditions and align updates with risk management systems.
  • Respond to emergencies after hours and identify urgent actions to maintain structural integrity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You must hold a Certificate 3 in Rail Infrastructure or equivalent.
  • A current Victorian Driver's License is required.
  • Bridge Inspector Level 1 or 2 certification is also necessary.
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a trade certificate is highly regarded.
