About the Role:

The Infrastructure division at John Holland is currently engaged in the development of some of Australia's most intricate projects, including significant undertakings such as the Black Hill to Tomago M1, Gold Coast Light Rail, and Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre. In response to industry growth, we are seeking a Lead Planner to assist with ongoing and future tenders and projects. This role involves close collaboration with Project Controls and the central Planning team, and is accountable for:

  • Creating project-specific Basis of Scheduling documents tailored to individual projects.
  • Fostering and maintaining relationships between estimating and cost control teams to ensure comprehensive awareness of all facets of Project Controls.
  • Overseeing projects from a Planning standpoint, encompassing Infrastructure and Water initiatives.
  • Contributing to successful bid submissions by preparing and managing detailed project timelines.
  • Working in partnership with Project Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and sustain project plans, schedules, and budgets.

About You:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with P6, MS Project, and Excel.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in tendering and executing multidisciplinary projects (Civil, Roads, Water, Bridges).
  • Strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with all levels of management and staff (both verbal and written).
  • Proficient in prioritizing tasks to meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contractual and commercial principles.
