This role involves supporting the commissioning scope by coordinating Permits of Isolation and Boundary Isolations in line with project procedures and client work practices. You'll work closely with commissioning teams, supervisors, vendors, and contractors. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to essential infrastructure projects while enjoying a balanced work-life schedule with a 2:1 roster.

Responsibilities
---------------

* Interpreting procedures, drawings, and work practices.
* Ensuring compliance with HSE performance KPIs for the permit team.
* Clearly communicating and aligning all permitting requirements with work activities.
* Supporting Personal Isolation officer training, conducting field inspections to verify correct isolations, and implementing permitting plans for shutdowns and daily tasks.
* Auditing electrical and mechanical isolations for statutory compliance.
* Building strong relationships with contractor HSE teams and supervisors, and managing hazard identification and mitigation.

Requirements
------------

* Trade qualification with a preference for WA Electrician's licence.
* Relevant experience in a Permit Officer role, particularly within the Mining Industry and preferably RTIO experience.
* Proven experience in performing isolations and permitting, with a background in Iron Ore Fixed Plant environments.
* Knowledgeable in Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
* Capable of working in a dynamic construction and commissioning environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to ensuring safety.
* Confident communicator and team player.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a practical approach.
* Effective at organizing and prioritizing tasks.
