As an Executive Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will be responsible for developing and managing the minerals strategic procurement function for Australia. You will work closely with various business lines, head of procurements, and the Global Category Team to develop supply strategies.

The role involves implementing procurement supply/sourcing strategy and results using Minerals Global Procurement Category and Support teams. This includes equipment projects, standard equipment, services, parts, export, internal, and indirect spend.

You will also support and drive global procurement process implementation and compliance, as well as strategic day-to-day procurement success. Ensuring procurement activities meet Metso Legal and Policy compliance is crucial.

This position has heavy interface with country site operational heads of procurement and is supported by a wide global team. You will oversee the entire supply chain process, including procurement, production, inventory management, and distribution.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent, with post-graduate studies in procurement and/or logistics preferred. A minimum of ten years' experience in business and procurement functions, with demonstrated increasing roles, is required.

Ten years at management level, ideally in a western matrix business environment, and five years' experience in Mining and Construction heavy industries are desired. Superior organizational and analytical skills are essential.

The estimated salary for this role is around $150,000 per year, based on location and industry standards. Regular travel (up to 15%) may be required.
