About the Role
We are seeking a part-time (0.8FTE) Secondary Teacher to join our team at ACC Hobart from January 2025, with the possibility of starting sooner subject to negotiation and availability.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Lead the Christian formation of students and foster a genuine faith environment;
- Deliver Pastoral Care from a Christian perspective;
- Contribute to an inclusive approach to learning and cultural understanding;
- Develop a biblically grounded, Christ-focused education model that engages students culturally and academically;
- Teach the prescribed curriculum in a conducive learning environment to develop students' interests, skills, and abilities;
- Participate in staff meetings, extra-curricular activities, and collaborate with parents as needed.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- A relevant bachelor degree and any other relevant teaching qualifications;
- Experience in Design & Technology and/or Outdoor Education and/or Humanities (desired);
- Passion for impacting students' minds and hearts and providing a safe, supportive learning environment;
- Strong relational skills and a commitment to holistic student welfare;
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues in developing teaching and learning programs;
- A servant heart and vibrant Christian faith.
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum
