Australian Christian College (ACC) is a leading non-denominational Christian education provider, dedicated to equipping students to flourish in their academic, social, and spiritual potential. ACC is part of Christian Education Ministries, a network of 14 schools across 5 states, and the largest non-government Distance Education provider in Australia. Our Hobart campus is a co-educational K-10 school with a strong focus on academic progress, character development, and student care.
About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Primary classroom teacher to join our team at ACC Hobart. The successful candidate will need to have the capacity to:
- Lead the Christian formation of students;
- Deliver Pastoral Care from a genuine Christian faith;
- Contribute to an inclusive approach to learning and a cross-cultural understanding in our students;
- Develop an approach to education that is biblically grounded, Christ-focused, culturally engaging, and academically rigorous;
- Teach the prescribed curriculum within a conducive learning environment to develop student's interests, skills, and abilities;
- Contribute to the school community by participating in staff meetings, extra-curricular tasks, and liaising with parents where appropriate.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a relevant bachelor degree and any other relevant teaching qualifications. They will be passionate about impacting students' minds and hearts, and providing a safe, supportive learning environment. They will be highly relational and committed to a holistic view of teaching and student welfare.
