Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as an HSE Advisor in the construction sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of health and safety management are carried out across all construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project teams in preparing and implementing health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) documentation.
  • Coach, advise, and educate site personnel on legislative requirements and changes to comply with procedures.
  • Administer incident and hazard reporting processes and actions according to company procedures.
  • Assist management in promoting a healthy, safe, and environmentally responsible working culture among personnel.
  • Conduct HSEQ site inspections and audits.
  • Coach site teams on delivering effective pre-start meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Coordinate HESQ training programs, including maintaining competency standards.
  • Analyze HSEQ performance, report, and system updates actively.
  • Maintain the integrated management system to an accredited level.
  • Compile project-specific HSEQ documentation to support tender bids when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Health & Safety or a Diploma and 3-5 years' experience with a background in construction health and safety. They must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to thrive in a high-pressure environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Health & Safety or a Diploma.
  • 3-5 years' experience with a background in construction health and safety.
  • Ability to excel in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing management plans, SWMS, JHA's, and conducting audits.
  • Understanding of quality management processes.
