Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join our team in Hazelmere, Wa.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning daily deliveries for local and regional PUD fleets, ensuring effective utilisation of subcontractors and contract carriers against customer and statutory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manifest timely and efficient freight delivery to meet DIFOT targets.
  • Book additional ad-hoc transport as required.
  • Ensure dispatching depots have manifests and appropriate paperwork.
  • Liaise with depot supervisors and team leaders to ensure timely loading of PUD vehicles.
  • Investigate and resolve service issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure runs comply with all statutory requirements.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions or escalate as required.
  • Forklift experience: Loading/unloading trucks (bonus).
