Advanced Genomics Researcher

We are seeking a skilled Bioinformatics Specialist to join our team.
The successful candidate will lead the development of bioinformatics workflows for metagenomics and microbiome testing, ensuring they meet laboratory needs and NATA accreditation standards.
This role requires a strong interest in microbial genomics and public health, with experience in genomic sequence data analysis and proficiency in workflow languages.
About the RoleThe primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Developing comprehensive automated workflows for metagenomics and microbiome testing.
- Conducting validation studies to optimize metagenomics and microbiome testing performance.
- Participating in translational research projects in microbiome and metagenomics fields.
- Collaborating with the MDU Genomics team and Metagenomics Working Group.
