Join us in leading AWS consultants, partner, and client teams to achieve business outcomes securely and faster in the cloud.

About The Role

As a Senior Engagement Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will lead project or program teams made up of AWS members, customer Stakeholders/SMEs, and potentially other vendors to create and execute a plan to achieve project goals by understanding AWS technologies, best practices, as well as the client environment.

You will identify and mitigate risks to execution. Your primary focus will be on developing and delivering solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations while ensuring goal alignment across stakeholder groups.

This is a customer-facing role requiring travel to client locations to deliver professional services as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead individuals, teams, or multiple groups to analyze project goals, create a plan to achieve those goals, and then drive the AWS team members, customer stakeholders/SMEs, and partners to achieve those goals while understanding the client environment and any limitations to execution.
  • Develop business cases and plans to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Plan, organize, and manage all phases of a project lifecycle to ensure successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Ensure effective communication with customers, internal teams, and partners throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management experience.
  • 5+ years of IT platform implementation in a technical and analytical role experience.
  • 7+ years of experience working in an IT Professional Services or consulting organization supporting global companies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including presenting to C-level executives and technical subject matter experts.
  • PMP-ACP Certification or Scrum Master Certification.
