About the Role
As Technical Project Manager – Trading Platforms, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of new trading functionality across a large-scale SaaS platform. You'll manage 5 squads (50–60 people, 65–70% offshore) spanning Australia, Vietnam, and the UK. This is a technical delivery role, sitting above multiple Scrum teams and ensuring trading product builds are delivered to scale, on time, and in line with the overall architecture roadmap.

This is not a client-facing PM role – you'll be deep in the technology, trading platforms, and delivery management, working closely with solution architects, developers, designers, and portfolio leaders. You'll also act as the Australian voice into the UK business and product teams, ensuring smooth handovers from design/discovery into delivery.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Sydney, with hybrid working (2 days in the office). Evening collaboration will be required 2–3 nights per week (never on Fridays) to align with offshore and UK teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end technical delivery of trading functionality.
  • Manage large-scale distributed teams (5 squads / 50–60 people), balancing offshore capacity with onshore delivery needs.
  • Translate complex trading requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions aligned to product strategy.
  • Drive agile delivery – setting standards for development frameworks, documentation, and reporting.
  • Act as the delivery bridge between UK-based business/product teams and Australian technology squads.
  • Ensure SaaS deployments, API integrations, and cloud-native builds are executed to the highest standard.

About You

  • Trading domain expertise – experience with trading platforms, systems, or products. Background with organisations like FNZ, HUB24, Bravura, Netwealth, SS&C, GBST, ASX, J.P. Morgan, Avaloq or other similar companies highly valued.
  • Large-scale technology delivery – proven track record running major software delivery programs with multiple squads/teams.
  • Platform/product expertise – strong knowledge of SaaS product delivery and technical platform builds, ideally in wealth/trading contexts.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence in scaled agile environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS, domain-based APIs, React UI. (desirable)
  • Prior exposure to UK financial services or trading environments. (desirable)
