Senior Business Development Officer



This role will work closely with academic inventors to translate their groundbreaking research into commercially viable propositions that create real-world impact.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the innovation team and licensing experts to develop compelling business cases, valuations, and partner due-diligence activities.
  • Analyze data and make informed decisions, communicating results to inventors and stakeholders.
  • Foster strong relationships with academic partners, colleagues, and industry leaders.
  • Conduct market research, intellectual property analysis, and commercial due diligence to ensure market fit and IP protection.


Requirements:
  • Higher degree in science or engineering (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in the science or engineering sector with a track record of driving business growth.
  • Curiosity about innovative technology developments and market trends.
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent project management abilities, and interpersonal communication skills.
