Avoidance Maintenance Specialist - This role requires an experienced and skilled professional to oversee the maintenance operations for our Maritime products (including Robot Submarines) and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing and managing maintenance to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of our Maritime Assets. This position demands a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and manage a team of skilled technicians and tradespeople to ensure effective maintenance of XL autonomous underwater vehicles.
  • Establish and maintain forward operating facilities and infrastructure for test and maintenance activities.
  • Develop comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Guide the development of maintenance documentation, including manuals and standard practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Engineering team to improve equipment reliability and maintainability.
  • Analyze maintenance data and key metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and costs to optimize resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with supply chain management to ensure availability of spare parts and materials.
  • Liaise with customers and stakeholders to provide exceptional service and support.
Required Qualifications
  • Suitable trade or engineering qualification.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in maintenance management, in a high-tech industry.
  • Proven experience in influencing and engaging customers.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies and facilities.
  • Experience with condition-based maintenance and predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 Security Clearance.
