Job Overview

The Graduate Supervisor is a pivotal role within the Marketing department, overseeing daily marketing operations and contributing to the development of marketing plans and designs for various initiatives. Main Responsibilities
  • Support the oversight, training, and supervision of staff hiring, scheduling, and supervision.
  • Develop expertise in design, video, social media, and other marketing disciplines based on skills and interest.
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator of Marketing & Advertising to create multi-platform marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Assist the Coordinator of Marketing & Advertising in preparing the annual budget, forecasting expenses, and monitoring revenue.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Effectively collaborate with other Marketing staff and department staff to increase operational efficiencies.
  • Continuously work to build understanding of the CSU Rec Center brand and maintain adherence to standards and guidelines.
Site Specific Responsibilities
  • Acknowledge and train staff on Marketing expectations and risk management principles.
  • Coordinate and implement distribution of marketing materials within the Recreation Center, across the CSU campus, and surrounding community area as needed.
  • Program/Plan one special event each academic year.
  • Serve on Special Event Sub-Committee as assigned.
  • Take an active role in facility initiative(s) outside of the Marketing department.
  • Earn Evening/weekend work responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Advertising, Sports Administration, Exercise Science or Higher Education or closely related field.
  • Acceptance into the College of Graduate Studies at Cleveland State University.
  • Certification in ARC CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer (provided) or equivalent certification.
  • Certification in ARC CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer Instructor (provided).
  • One year of undergraduate experience in campus recreation and knowledge of basic practices in recreational sports.
  • Leadership and supervisory abilities of undergraduate students and interns.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team that collaborates effectively with colleagues.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that values entrepreneurial spirit, high expectations, accountability, and balanced lifestyles.

This job requires 20 -30 hours/week.
