Northern Beaches Hospital is a contemporary 488-bed facility, comprising 60% public and 40% private beds. We provide a wide range of health services to the local community, including Surgery, a 50-bed Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Birthing, Paediatrics, Cardiac, Mental Health, Dialysis, Cancer Centre, and Outpatients.

Our Medical Oncology/Palliative Care Ward

We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse in our Medical Oncology/Palliative Care Ward. Ward 6 C is a 30-bed public medical ward, predominately caring for oncology patients and patients requiring end-of-life care. Our staff strive to provide care that is evidence-based and patient-centred.

About the Role

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years in an Acute hospital setting experience is essential
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated, and customer-focused
  • Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team
  • Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
  • Flexibility with shift allocations and the commitment to work a rotating roster

What We Offer

  • A salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $49.79 per hour
