About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Assistant in Nursing to join our team in Ward 6C, a 30-bedded Medical Oncology ward catering to the local community. As a Medical Oncology Assistant, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to patients with cancer and palliative care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist nurses and hospital staff in carrying out patient care duties.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Assess patients using therapeutic skills and provide individualized care.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Certificate III/IV in Community and Health Services or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.
