About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant in Nursing to join our team at Healthscope Hospitals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families in the 6C ward, specializing in Medical Oncology and Palliative Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care, adhering to state legislation and scope of practice parameters.
  • Assess patients using therapeutic skills, identifying their needs and developing effective care plans.
  • Support the education and development of junior staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Certificate III/IV in Community and Health Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in Medical Oncology or Palliative Care.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and maintain accurate records.
