Job Description

Make a Real Impact in Aboriginal Health and Cancer Care

This is a permanent role to deliver holistic health promotion, community education, and culturally safe cancer care pathways. As a compassionate and skilled professional, you will collaborate with local hospitals, palliative care services, and clinic staff to strengthen referral processes and build community trust.

You will work in partnership with local groups and families to improve health outcomes and ensure culturally safe care pathways. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting and embedding cancer screening resources across community programs.
  • Supporting clients and families in navigating cancer services and palliative care pathways.
  • Coordinating planning with hospitals and Aboriginal Medical Services to ensure culturally safe referrals.
  • Delivering health promotion activities, yarning circles, and community education.
  • Assisting in developing quality improvement processes and culturally appropriate learning materials.
