Job Overview

The role of a Climate Smart Agriculture Specialist is crucial in promoting the adoption of environmentally friendly farming practices and facilitating access to carbon and biodiversity markets within the agricultural sector.

This position collaborates with the Sustainable Landscapes team to achieve the priorities outlined by the Limestone Coast Landscape Board.

The specialist will work closely with farmers, land managers, farming systems groups, agri-business, industry bodies, and government agencies to deliver workshops, events, and activities that promote sustainable farming outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to improve knowledge and adoption of climate smart practices among farmers and land managers.
  • Facilitate understanding of carbon and biodiversity markets among stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Sustainable Landscapes team to deliver on priorities.
  • Implement workshops, events, and activities to promote sustainable farming outcomes.
