Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to delivering innovative stormwater solutions in a multidisciplinary environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality stormwater models and designs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, facilitating specification, costing, planning, and delivery of stormwater management systems.
  • Liaise closely with internal presales engineers, engineering, and production personnel as part of a national team, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
  • Utilize industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and MUSIC for design tasks, ensuring efficient and accurate results.
  • Maintain active communication with contractors, engineers, surveyors, and government agencies regarding engineering, surveying, or construction issues, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Represent the organization professionally at events, conferences, and client sites, fostering positive relationships and promoting brand awareness.
  • Develop a close working relationship with the Engineering Manager and team members, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.
  • Model and complete stormwater quality designs for products and services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
About You

We seek an ideal candidate with:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering principles.
  • 0-4 years of experience, with 2-3 years of engineering design skill experience in AutoCAD and MUSIC (training offered), showcasing proficiency in industry-standard software.
  • Previous design experience, highlighting ability to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems.
  • Experience in stormwater/wastewater projects is preferred, demonstrating expertise in this area.
  • A positive work attitude and drive to succeed, showcasing enthusiasm and motivation.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player approach, highlighting ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex written and oral instructions, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to decipher information and employ strategies to problem solve, showcasing analytical thinking.
  • Ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing, highlighting effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and methods, preferably applicable to Storm Water Drainage Systems, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry concepts.
  • Knowledge of public works engineering and Storm Water Drainage System operations, highlighting expertise in this area.
  • Ability to retrieve and understand current codes and regulatory standards governing regional engineering activities of storm water construction, renovations, and maintenance projects, showcasing ability to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with drafting software such as AutoCAD and water modeling tools like MUSIC, highlighting technical skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel, management, contractors, consultants, and clients, whether working in the office or remotely, showcasing interpersonal skills.
