Lead Renewable Energy Power Generation System Designer

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to lead projects and work with renewable energy power generation machines.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects to install and commission instability detection systems for renewable energy power generation machines across Victoria, NSW, and Queensland.
  • Analyse performance data of previously installed systems and implement performance improvements based on client feedback and updated requirements.
  • Develop and test prototypes of new systems in Melbourne.
  • Scope project costs and delivery timeframes to provide accurate proposals.
  • Review detailed technical drawings to procure necessary equipment and components for each project.
  • Prepare technical documentation such as commissioning test plans and test reports for approval.
  • Travel to remote project sites for installation supervision and system commissioning.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in project commissioning and validation.
  • Experience with SEL AcSELerator Software and Omicron Test Universe software desired but not essential.
  • Strong Python coding skills desired.
  • Bachelor or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with remote teams locally and globally.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to adapt quickly and meet tight deadlines.
