We are seeking a qualified mechanical power engineer to lead our clients through the development, contracting, and implementation of natural gas and potentially renewable energy generation projects. As Engineer of Record or Owner's Engineer, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of power generation.

Job Description
  • Role: Lead Mechanical Power Engineer and Project Engineering Manager, providing mechanical engineering support for detailed design and owner's engineer projects on both a technical and contractual level.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Lead project mechanical teams, coordinate with other engineering disciplines, monitor and communicate project status.
    • Develop construction drawings, bid specifications, mechanical equipment sizing calculations, technical memos, bid evaluations, code reviews, feasibility studies, reports, and cost estimates.
    • Have significant experience with the design and specification of power generation systems for simple cycle, combined cycle, distributed generation, and RICE projects.
    • Collaborate with engineers and designers from several other disciplines.
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in power generation design.
    • Gas turbine, steam turbine, and/or large reciprocating engine experience or subject matter expertise.
    • Design experience with simple cycle and combined cycle power generation.
    • Previous experience with an engineering power consulting or EPC firm desired.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience, ideally in the fossil power industry with a blend of design and owner's engineer projects.
    • Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
    • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
    • Willing to mentor less experienced engineers and EITs.
    • Proficient at working within an established schedule and budget.
