About the Role

The Injury Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving safe and sustainable return to work outcomes for employees injured at work. Key responsibilities include providing expert advice and support to Return to Work Coordinators (RTWCs) to facilitate seamless integration of employee rehabilitation programs.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Engage with Department workplace managers, RTWCs, insurance agents, and occupational rehabilitation providers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentoring to RTWCs to enhance workers' compensation performance and health and wellbeing outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote sound and effective workers' compensation management practices across the Department.
  • Analyse data and trends to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in workers' compensation injury management.
