Role Overview
In this position, you will leverage your design expertise to ensure the success and quality of innovative solutions tailored for a diverse customer base. Your primary goal is to create exceptional end-to-end user experiences. You will collaborate with various cross-functional teams in a lean, agile, and customer-centric environment. Your involvement will span all phases of the design process, from initial discovery to final delivery.

As a key member of the MYOB Financial Services & Benefits design team, you will mentor fellow designers, providing support and actively contributing to the enhancement of our culture and design community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape strategies and initiatives within the Originations and Payments domains by advocating for customer needs.
  • Maintain high standards of excellence in both design output and outcomes.
  • Utilize research and discovery techniques to inform design decisions.
  • Design and optimize user experiences, balancing customer needs with technical feasibility and business objectives.
  • Employ a systematic approach to address complex challenges and deliver impactful solutions that drive business metrics.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Agile development principles and experience with design systems to create cohesive user experiences.
  • Exhibit strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills while working within cross-functional teams.
  • Manage multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Facilitate workshops and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in product design, with a willingness to consider candidates from diverse design backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery through to delivery.
  • Capability to influence business strategy through design insights.
  • While experience in financial services is beneficial, your design proficiency is paramount.
  • A strong focus on innovation and user-centric design, with a track record of thriving in agile, cross-functional teams.
  • A systematic approach to problem-solving and delivering solutions that positively impact business metrics.
