Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Strategic Direction: Develop and implement effective detection and response strategies to mitigate cyber threats.
  • Lead Incident Investigations: Coordinate incident investigations, working closely with relevant stakeholders to identify and address cyber incidents.
  • Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with relevant cybersecurity laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Manage Relationships: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure the effectiveness of outsourced cybersecurity services and solutions.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present regular reports on the organization's incident response activities to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees about the importance of incident reporting and the proper procedures for responding to incidents.
  • Threat Intelligence: Integrate threat intelligence feeds and sources to enhance the organization's ability to detect emerging threats.
  • Security Monitoring: Maintain a comprehensive security monitoring strategy to detect potential security incidents.
  • Incident Containment: Lead efforts to contain the spread of a security incident, isolate affected systems, and minimize further damage or unauthorized access.
  • Remediation: Oversee the preservation of digital evidence and chain of custody procedures, and develop remediation plans to restore affected systems to a secure state.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance incident response processes, tools, and training programs.
Requirements
  • 8+ Years of Experience: In cybersecurity, specializing in incident detection and response.
  • Relevant Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership in managing and motivating teams.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in SOC operations and tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Network Security: Proficient in network security concepts and protocols.
  • Threat Intelligence: Skilled in leveraging threat intelligence to mitigate threats.
  • Incident Response: Expertise in incident detection and response, digital forensics, and malware analysis.
  • Endpoint Security: Familiar with endpoint security and cloud security principles.
  • Security Architecture: Knowledge of security architecture and secure development practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate threats and plan incident response.
