Senior Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Manager to join our Ballarat Prepared Foods team. As a key member of our Health and Safety Department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our Health and Safety Management System elements are in control and capable of delivering on their purpose.
Key Responsibilities- Provide coaching and mentoring to the Site Health and Safety Manager
- Utilize internal and external resources in the execution of our ANZ safety strategy
- Manage Worker's Compensation in consultation with external service providers and our ANZ regional team
- Plan and budget specific programs and activities to prevent employee injury and illness and increase employee well-being
- Serve as Lead Investigator for significant incidents that may occur at the plant, and serve as Investigation Team Member for other plant's investigations
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 3 years' experience as a Health and Safety Manager, and a minimum of 7 years total as an OHS practitioner. You should be conversant in Lean Manufacturing Principles, with a focus on the Plan-Do-Check-Act process. You will also need to have demonstrated proficiency in managing a variety of unrelated projects, with a results-oriented approach, logical thinking, and superior problem-solving abilities.
You will need to have proven ability to lead, influence, and coach individuals at all levels of the organization, as well as facilitate detailed and comprehensive risk assessment activities, beyond individual, task-based assessments.
