About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Safety Manager to join our team at McCain Foods. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the success of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and mentoring to site health and safety managers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Utilize internal and external resources to execute the ANZ safety strategy and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Manage workers' compensation claims in consultation with external service providers and the ANZ regional team.
- Develop and implement programs and activities to prevent employee injury and illness and promote employee well-being.
- Investigate significant incidents and serve as a lead investigator or team member for other plant investigations.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a health and safety manager and a minimum of 7 years' total experience as an OHS practitioner. You will also need to be conversant in lean manufacturing principles and have demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple projects with a results-oriented approach.
