Key Economic Development Role

This pivotal position plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Singleton as the Council and community transition towards a post mining and net zero environment.

The successful candidate will be part of the Community Growth and Evolution Business Unit, which integrates land use planning, sustainability, economic development and community development to deliver long-term sustainable community outcomes.

High level strategic thinking is required to coordinate and communicate economic data and trends that inform strategies, policies and programs related to the Socio-Economic Development Strategy, Investment Prospectus, Destination Management Plan, Super Easy Singleton, and incorporate socio-economic outcomes within the council's Community Strategic Plan.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team responsible for providing economic development services to the Council and community in line with the Council's strategic direction.
  2. Contribute to the growth and evolution of Singleton as the Council and community transition towards a post mining and net zero future.
  3. Coordinate and communicate economic data and trends to various stakeholders that inform strategies, policies and programs related to the Socio-Economic Development Strategy, Investment Prospectus, Destination Management Plan, Super Easy Singleton, and incorporate socio-economic outcomes within the council's Community Strategic Plan.
