Employment Partner

We are seeking an Employment Partner to join our team. This is a full-time role that will involve building relationships with local employers, understanding their workforce needs and supporting them to hire people with disabilities.

About the Role

As an Employment Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting employers in the Ipswich and Logan regions to understand the benefits of hiring people with disabilities
  • Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the local labour market and emerging industries
  • Identifying and developing new employer relationships, taking time to understand their staffing needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions
  • Helping employers adapt their processes or roles to accommodate candidates with specific needs
  • Engaging job-ready candidates and matching them with suitable employers through referrals and other means

You will work closely with the employment consultants and ongoing support consultants to build opportunities in industries relevant to the caseloads' needs and provide post-placement support to participants and their employers.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant qualification in areas such as employment services or community services
  • Previous experience in employment services, including barrier management, reverse marketing and placement of candidates into employment
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, account management or sales
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • A working knowledge of local employers and their recruitment demands
