Job Opportunity:

The position of Mechanical Specialist involves working with a team to ensure the efficient operation of equipment at a steelworks site.

This role requires a high level of mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on asset condition, supporting daily tasks, scoping and planning maintenance, shutdowns and breakdowns, creating work orders in SAP, participating in root cause analysis, and getting hands-on with multi-discipline teams.

Required qualifications include a mechanical trade qualification, solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, experience in similar roles or readiness to take the next step, NSW driver's licence, computer literacy, passion for improvement, and communication skills.
