Job Title

System Assurance Manager

Ensure the effective implementation and follow-up of safety, systems, and security assurance processes during the Design and Construction phase.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of safety, security, and systems assurance processes.
  • Contribute to risk and hazard management processes.
  • Assist in the production of management plans.
  • Support configuration management.
  • Contribute to and support the Documentation Management System architecture, implementation, and management.
Safety Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to requirements management process.
  • Participate in Verification and Validation process (gate reviews, production, milestones, evidences...).
  • Review the System Safety Assurance Plan.
  • Review and assess the preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA) and SHL (System Hazard Log) at system level.
  • Review and assess the Sub System Hazard Identification(SSHI) Sub-System Hazard Analysis (SSHA) Sub System Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
  • Review and assess the exported constraints to the operator.
  • Participate in hazard and risk review processes as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Human Factor Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to human factors review process.
  • Engage in ergonomic assessments and review with assistance from the SME (operation maintenance).
RAM Responsibilities:
  • Review mission profile included parameters like technical versus non-technical used for the baseline of the system.
  • Review RAM methodology used by D&C.
  • Control and monitor asset data register to define the installed assets baseline.
  • Define control and monitor Life Cycle Cost.
  • Follow-up and assess the development of RAM studies and KPI simulation.
  • Review outcomes of RAM Reports with focus on System Failure performance, MTBF(asset performance) and MTTR (Time to restore the function/Service).
  • Contribute to SPMS development (functional) and Operation simulation in term of data entries, format, interfaces, and source of truth.
  • Review, control, and challenge the methodology used and reports for tool calculation.
  • Review and assess the performance demonstration methodology.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Railway Environment. Driverless Metro will be an advantage.
Essential Requirements:
  • RAMS Processes and assessments, and assurance processes including hazard analysis, verification, and validation.
  • System Assurance processes and Engineering Safety.
Highly Desirable Experience In:
  • Security.
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
  • Risk Management.
Preferred Skills:
  • ISO 50216&T MU AM 00002 GU and other annexures legislation, standards, and guidance, processes, and practices related to safety management for major rail infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of EN50216:2017 Railway Applications-The Specification and Demonstration of Reliability Availability, Maintainability, and Safety (RAMS).
  • ONRSR major project regulation (RIM and RSO accreditations).
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Quality focused.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Must be able to work with EUR timezone occasionally.
  • Ability to put organization before self.
Educational Requirements:
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering or B.Sc/M.Sc with Physics/Electronics/Power Supply/Computer Science.
  • English (Fluent).
