Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead our testing efforts. As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and plans based on project requirements.

You will oversee test execution, defect management, and the implementation and maintenance of automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured. You will also mentor junior team members, contribute to creating solutions and approaches for proposals on QA for our customers, and ensure that our software meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans based on project requirements
  • Oversight of test execution and defect management
  • Implementation and maintenance of automation frameworks using Selenium, Cucumber, and Rest Assured
  • Mentorship of junior team members
  • Contribution to creating solutions and approaches for proposals on QA for our customers

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution
  • At least 5 years of experience with Information Technology
  • Tertiary qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience in UI, API Automation using Selenium (JAVA), Rest Assured and Postman
  • Strong experience in Mobile applications Automation using Appium, Headpin, Selenium (JAVA)
  • Good understanding and experience in creating robust automation framework
  • Experience in API automation testing
  • Ability to independently create, execute and maintain comprehensive automation frameworks
  • Experience in BDD (Behavior Driven Development)/TDD using tools like Cucumber, Serenity and Playwright-BDD
  • Experience in Code Coverage tools like Jacoco, JSCover, Sonar, etc.
  • Experience working with build automation tools such as Maven, Gradle etc.
  • Experience in working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Bamboo
  • Experience in project management tools like JIRA, ALM, Rally etc.

Nice to Have skills:

  • Exposure to latest trends in Quality Engineering space
  • Knowledge on GenAI tools like GitHub Copilot
  • Good experience on mobile automation solutions like UFT Mobile
