Job Role Overview

A Service Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating service packages during the design and construction phases to ensure timely, on-budget, and quality delivery.

  • Main point of contact for all service coordination tasks
  • Schedule and dispatch internal tradespeople and subcontractors according to project timelines
  • Monitor and track service progress, resolving scheduling conflicts proactively
Key Responsibilities

As a Service Coordinator, you will be involved in:

  • Managing service packages to meet project deadlines and budgets
  • Coordinating with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Monitoring subcontractor performance and escalating issues when necessary
  • Procuring and delivering materials, equipment, and services as required
  • Preparing service progress reports, compliance documents, and defect reports
  • Assisting with commissioning, testing, defect rectification, and handover documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Trade qualification (Certificate III or higher) in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical discipline
  • 3–5 years' experience coordinating service works, preferably in high-rise construction projects
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage schedules and budgets
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with subcontractors and internal teams
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a focus on timely issue resolution
