About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary care team at Southern Cross Care. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality physiotherapy services to residents, aligned to their needs and goals.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary care planning, ensuring comprehensive and effective care.
  • Participate in daily handovers with nursing staff to ensure seamless communication and resident care.
  • Lead case conferences and problem-solving sessions to address complex care needs.
  • Support residents on proactive reablement pathways, identifying deviations and implementing interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with students on placements and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
About You

We are looking for a Physiotherapist with a strong passion for delivering high-quality care and a commitment to healthy ageing principles. To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor or Master degree in Physiotherapy, with current registration with AHPRA.
  • Knowledge of residential aged care practice, including understanding and experience of AN-ACC.
  • Experience working from a healthy ageing approach, with a focus on resident-centred care.
  • Demonstrated initiative, strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
