Accounts Payable Manager

NHP has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our Finance team in Melbourne.
Reporting to the Finance Reporting Manager, in this position your primary responsibility is to oversee the functions of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Concur, and general administration services. This role is pivotal in the efficient provision of services to ensure the effectiveness of day-to-day operations of the NHP Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, guide and coordinate shared services team members; promote effective teamwork; support team members and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee the entire accounts payable process ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and adherence to company policies.
- Work alongside credit manager to ensure credit control practices are embedded within the collections team.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls in all financial transactions.
- Provide short term and long-term cash requirements to optimize the company's cash position.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to support financial aspects of business activities, providing insights and financial analysis as required.
- Supervise and develop shared services team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within the department.
- Concur – corporate credit card management and establishing company employee expense policies including adherence.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Hold a Bachelor of Accounting/Commerce/Business degree.
- Strong leadership, management and influencing capabilities.
- Detailed orientated, strong analytical and organisational skills.
- A can-do attitude and an ability to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively across organisational lines and have strong verbal and written skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 (preferred but not essential).
